If you don’t already have it, you need to go out and buy (yes I did say buy and not download) their new album, Zeitgeist. It is a crazy masterpiece and the thing that strike me so much is the production. It is surprisingly clean yet evokes sort of an indie-esque/punk feel towards the recording. My immediate reaction from the first song was “FUCK this is loud!” and then all of a sudden the volume grows with the addition of another guitar part. And then even louder with the introduction of the vocals and even louder with the vocal harmonies!!! And everything that layers in makes it feel almost as if you are at a concert listening to them and not some well produced album. It is totally blowing me away. One word of warning: Listen to this from the original CD on a good stereo with good speakers and crank the volume. It will blow you away.
