Song of the Moment
So I installed the Last.fm widget into the old blog and have it configured to display what I been listening to not only my compy but also on the iPod when I am out and about. So I now have the same functionality of the Zune card thingy. I think I would still prefer a Zune over an iPod so maybe I will sell my iPod and accessories and buy a Zune instead.
At any rate, this is a song of the moment post and this song comes courtesy of a recommendation from the Last.fm site.
The Sound of Animals Fighting
This band reminds me of an even more experimental version of the Mars Volta without the strong latin vibe. The interesting thing is how they write and record their songs. They all live in different parts of the country and just send tracks to each other. That in and of itself isn’t that weird except when you take into account that none of them listen to each others parts when they are recording. They each get a drum beat and a general harmonic structure of the song and then just record a part completely oblivious of the other members of the band. Those tracks all get sent to a central band member who then figures out a way to make it all “work” in the context of a song. It makes for some really interesting “songs.” At any rate, listen to my current favorite of theirs…”Horses in the Sky”

Hey I’m just noticing this, but the widget you installed is messing up the links in your side bar. The links are getting sqished to the very bottom of the page. Is anyone else having the links load up wierd?
