[Listening to: The National Anthem/Fatty - The Chickens - (1:25)]

Fatty.mp3

Scene:
My cousin Raul’s house (commonly referred to as Dee Dee Boy). Me fiddling with the knobs on the mixer and setting the bass volume.
Randy: “Is it recording?”
Matt haphazardly picking the intro notes to The National Anthem obviously bored and ready to bust out Fatty.
Loud bass note coupled with Randy blowing random noise from a fluteophone into the mic set up by the drums.
“Wait, hold on. I want to play something…for the fans.”
More notes of The National Anthem while Randy desperately tries to emulate it on the Fluteophone. Then going into a piss porr version of Hot Crossed Buns to the bass notes of Seventh Sun.
Randy: “One, Two, One Two Three Four!!!”

What more could you expect from a band called The Chickens?

Ah, good times

I love when you narrate something that you have deep heartfelt feelings for. Iit makes for some great writing; however, it is completely ruined when I see “porr” as a sad substitute for “poor.”

    WHOO HOO!
    Go Chickens!
    haha, I love that pic!
Is that a really old school PE shirt from south?

  3. Chris:

Yup, that really is an old school PE shirt from south. If you check the picture you can see that Randy using his drumset but my floor tom from my drumset. Also, we were both playing guitar. No Bass guitar whatsoever. What are you gonna do when you have no bass amp.
