So yeah, it’s been a long time. I have been devoting my online time to bit torrent so I have been pretty much disconnected with the outside world. I got around to finishing that one drum “spree” and even wrote a tenor part for it (since I am a part time tenor player). Anyway, if you can play this:

Then you should definitely be in the Renegades tenor line this year. Actually if you can play that at a fairly decent tempo then you should grab a couple of thousand dollars and join the Blue Devils tenor line, then come to the Renegades when you age out. Seriously, it’s that hard. As a matter of fact, I wrote it out with the intent of giving myself a challenge and it ended up taking me 4 days to learn how to play it with any degree of accuracy. But I am a better player for it.
So tomorrow Lys and I are taking the big trip to the city of Sin and celebrating her birthday and our anniversary by getting completely fucking hammered for 4 days. The classic way of celebrating. Although in all honesty, this trip almost didn’t happen….true story.
In the beginning, we had the coolest, biggest group in Vegas including all of our closest friends, our families, my brothers friends, the neighbors dog and the kitchen sink. It was a week long bout of debauchery and a wedding and it was the fucking COOLEST TIME EVER!!!! The best way to get married, IMHO.
Anyway, we do it again the next year and our party is significantly reduced but we still have a good time. So 2 months ago I put the email out for the trip again and 1st, Kim and Ricky bow out. Just can’t do it, bad timing. Then Crystal and Chris, then Linda, and the final nail in the coffin, we weren’t even sure if we could make it (financially) plus the Stratosphere is booked that weekend. But then, with the miraculous powers of Crystal? (did I really say that?) the trip comes together at the last minute to bring almost everyone back on board, even Paul and Linda (which she told me today and totally made my day). So I take this moment to formally thank Crystal Watts for fighting for the right to go the desert, blow money, and get wasted.
Anyway, so it’s already long enough, but thanks for reading and again, Chris’s Playlist is on hiatus until I finished Holiday travel…
