I can feel it coming. I am burning out. I am running out of steam, about a lot of things. It's like swimming in the deep end and sinking and never quite feeling the bottom; hovering around that point of no return. There is a lot of disconnect. A lot of it comes from trying to stand on the shoulder of giants. It seems that time just stands still. I wish it would either stop or speed up. For fucks sake, just make up it's damn mind. I have an 8 mile run today, two 3 mile runs sometime this week and one 3 mile walk to keep my legs loose then I bust out 26.2 miles next Monday. It sounds simple because I am trying to make it as simple as possible. I know it will be hard but if I keep the difficulty as a constant reminder I will freak myself out. So as a consolation I will focus on some other things. Like... June knows so much now. It's quite amazing...I ask her if she wants a sandwich and she answers me yes or no (usually yes since I ask her when she is hungry). If I ask her to bring me her cup (which she always leaves lying around the apartment) so I can pour her milk she does it. In fact, most of the time she winds up bringing me her cup and yelling at me to get her something to drink. Same thing goes for when I ask her to find her shoes when we need to leave the apartment, she just goes to work helping me to find them. Or if we need to go somewhere and I tell her "Lets Go" she knows to head to the front door of the apartment. I ask her for kisses and she gives them to me. I ask her to hug the cats and she does. She brings me her books when she wants to read and I often times find her sitting with her books trying to read them herself. I am amazed by how fast she is growing up. I keep joking with people that I want her to stop growing up and a small part of me does simply because I want the time to enjoy these little milestones but truthfully I just can't wait for the next thing to come out of her mouth or the next food she discovers that she enjoys or the next behavior she starts imitating and making her own. I really can't wait and I know when she is older I will miss it immensely. At any rate, I am now rambling... 7 more days... Come and join us for a celebratory after marathon drinking fest....
